02 February 2008

Boy...what a relief to be through the month of January. I'm glad to see the schedule easing up a bit to enjoy my time. There isn't much to go around these days, y'know.

So what's been going on with me this past month? Lots. For starters, I've been given the wonderful opportunity to design an album cover for one of Los Angeles' coolest rock bands, Killola. I managed to come across their music on Myspace, and after one thing leading to another, I gave them this:

It'll be their latest studio effort, called "I AmThe Messer," due out really soon. The best part is that I get to do the whole album artwork, inside pages, back cover, etc. I thought the cover was one thing, but I'll have a whole album under my belt. How flippin' sweet is that?!? I have a few things left to do for the album artwork, but I should be finished in no time. I can't wait to see what it looks like all finished and shrink wrapped in plastic! Just think about all those music fans who will be graced with my work; work that will forever be a part of rock n' roll history! This is why I do what I do...

Next up on my list is two art shows for this month. First up is my next show at Suite 100 Gallery, called "Girls By Boys." Here's what Suite 100 has to say about the show:

It has become almost cliché in the common vernacular that the female form is a work of art; and it has, of course, inspired artwork throughout recorded history. It is a source of inspiration in sex and love, wonderment for science, contention for religion and social politics, iconography for product sales. It is a balance of form and function, mystery and attraction, carrying with it innumerable interpretations.

Suite 100 Gallery is proud to present "Girls by Boys," a group show that captures the male perspectives of three distinct artists.

James Dormer Schneider presents pen-and-ink portraits of women in his life that inspires envy. Jonathon Kimbrell contributes mixed-media montages characterizing adult entertainment. Troy Gua renders celebrity icons of popular culture in pen-and-ink portraits, as well as sexy images of anonymous women familiar to the imagination.

"Girls by Boys" is an audacious and sultry look at the stuff that fuels our cultural engine.

Opening Reception: February 8, 6pm-10pm

"I've Always Wanted a Porn Star Girlfriend" No.2 Mixed Media on Wood Panel (12" x 18")

My work for this show explores and reiterates the notion that sex indeed, sells. Sex is big business, and no matter how much laws try to 'curb' things, boundaries are being pushed farther and farther. I also find it really interesting that talking openly about sex is still very taboo with many people. I think it boils down to how comfortable you are with yourself, and your position in life. Frankly, I happen to be very comfortable with myself, so talking about sex, or putting art out there that challenges your views about sex, isn't a big deal to me.

The second show for February is "Rock n' Roll Ain't Dead Yet!" at The Soda Gallery, my 'home away from home'. I've managed to get together over twenty cool pop artists for this show, each one of them representing some of the biggest music icons in history. I'm creating a large, multi-paneled piece of Bob Dylan for this show, 20 canvases in all. It'll be in the style of Andy Warhol, using the same repeating image in a variety of different colors. "RNRADY" opens to the masses February 16th at 7pm. And speaking of Warhol...

My tribute to Andy Warhol and The Factory show, "Factory Trash" at Metropolis Gallery, was a nice success. I managed to move a few pieces to some die-hard Warhol fans, as well as expressing my gratitute to an artist that has been a huge influence on my own art. Despite the cold weather people still came out in droves to see my new work. The gallery was even gracious enough to serve Coca-Cola during the opening reception. I thought it was only fitting. The show officially ended on Jan. 31st, but remeaining pieces will still be on display for a few more weeks.

Well, I suppose this update is long enough. While I have some free time coming up, be sure to check back to the site very soon, as I will have more new works to post.

05 January 2008

Happy New Year everyone! 2007 is over and now I can look forward to the craziness 2008 already has in store for Napkin Art Studios. It's only five days into the new year, and my calendar is quickly filling up! Last night saw the opening of my latest exhibit, "Factory Trash" at Metropolis Gallery in Lancaster, PA. "Factory Trash" is a tongue-in-cheeck homage to the work of Andy Warhol and The Factory scene of 1960s NY. It's been more of a personal joy, this show, rather than a commercial endeavor. However, selling a few paintings won't hurt my feelings any! The show runs until the end of January, so check it out. Visit Metropolis online for more details. January also sees "To Capture A Blue Canary", a show I'm currating for The Soda Gallery here in Dallas. It's our first-ever photo exhibit, featuring artists Charley Mitcherson, Havi Frost, Debra Gloria, Jakob Fakheri, Brandy Kayzakian-Rowe, Crimson Allen, Erica Felicella and yours truly. Show opens January 19th at 7pm and runs until February 10th.

In other show news...February also brings to The Soda Gallery a tribute to Rock n' Roll, entitled "Rock Ain't Dead Yet!", featuring nearly twenty artists from all over the US, creating wonderful portraits of the rock stars they admire most. That show goes up February 16 and ends March 10th. More details soon. I'll also be a participating artist for "Girls" at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle, opening February 8. I'll post more info about that one later, as well. In addition to all those shows, things are still going really strong with the other galleries I work closely with, in Nashville, Dallas and Washington DC. I do work for those respective galleries on a regular basis, and they certainly keep me busy. It looks as though I'll have another featured exhibit at The Arts Company in Nashville in March, and a featured exhibit at Fine Art & Artists in DC in May, which I'm really excitied about! I have no idea what I plan to paint for those shows at the moment, but I'm sure something will strike. The Art-O-Mat gig is really paying off, too! It appears that the Whitney Museum in NYC still requests my art-o-works on a consistent basis! I'm keeping my fingers crossed something HUGE will come of that this year. Keep your fingers crossed for me, too. Oh...almost forgot to mention this show: "50/50." The concept: take fifty artists and have them create one work each. Then, turn around and sell them for only $50 each. Collect original art without having to break the bank is the main idea for the show. Show opens March 15 @ 7pm at The Soda Gallery, so mark 'yer calendars! You really won't want to miss out on this show, I can promise you this.

Before I go, I received an email from a gallery currator in Raliegh, NC, inquiring about showing my work there in the near future. Also, I received another email just last night from someone in Australia interested in showing my work, as well. I suppose I need to sit tight and see what happens with these two places. Perhaps this is the year Napkin Art Studios goes INTERNATIONAL?!? Only time will tell...

14 December 2007

Wow...I'm still in shock to see how fast this year has gone by. But, it's time for a changing of the guard, because 2008 is going to be even better than 2007, personally and professionally speaking. But, before I get ahead of myself, just wanted to let the world know about a few things. First, if you happen to make it up tot the Portland, OR area anytime soon, be sure to stop by Brandy Kayzakian-Rowe's 'Wandering Gypsy Soul Studio & Gallery' to check out some of my latest work (as well as other great works by other great artists) in "Motto/Dig," inspired by the words of poet extrordinaire, Langston Hughes. I'm pretty proud of the work I have included in the show. Musician portraits are my favorite pieces to do anyway, so why not do more of them?!? If you'd like more info on Wandering Gypsy Soul Studio & Gallery, click here. Or, stop by in person: 625 NW Everett St. #109 / Portland, OR.

I'm finally making prints available of my work, which is something I've fought against for so long, mostly because I couldn't afford to do most of the printing and framing myself. Then, a little 'ol website called 'Image Kind" came to my rescue. I can now easily make prints of my original works of art available as fine art prints, because they handle all of the custom framing and printing themselves. The site is great, because you have (literally) millions of print, frame and mat combinations to choose from, as well as glazing (glass) and you even have the option of printing on canvas. Turnaround time is really quick and all work is guaranteed or your money back! Below is one of my exclusive prints available from imagekind.com...

"Party (Marilyn Monroe)". The original painting is only 6" x 6", but you can have a print almost 10x the original size. Cool, huh? There are but a few prints available now, but more will become available soon. (To visit the site, click on the pic.)

As the year winds to a close, so do many art exhibits that I'm currently apart of, like the "Caffeinated" show at The Soda Gallery and "Sweet 100" at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle. It's been an awesome year exhibiting in new places, and I'm very thankful for all. So, as I put the 2007 show schedule to bed, I can look forward to some great things happening in '08. Namely...

It's a tribute to rock n' roll that I'm getting together for The Soda Gallery in February. There is an open call for art and artists, so if you'd like to be considered, email 2-3 images with your artist bio and resume to: jonathon@thesodagallery.com (be sure to put 'Rock N' Roll' in the subject line.) If I like your stuff, I'll email you back with details. CALL FOR ARTISTS IS OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2007.

January will bring about the first full-on photography exhibit to The Soda Gallery, called "To Capture A Blue Canary," featuring several talented photographers from Dallas and Portland. Details coming soon.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, incase I don't post any new verbage for the rest of 2007. Thanks to all who have been great supporters of my art the last few years. I feel very blessed to be able to keep Napkin Art Studios going full steam. I hope (and trust) the new year will bring about more good fortune!

16 November 2007

I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for Thanksgiving to get here. I've been working day and night for several weeks solid, trying to finish up paintings for this show coming up in December, on top of commissions and other shows creeping up fairly quickly. I could use a little bit of a break, and stuff myself silly with ham, turkey, mashed 'taters and all the sweets I can et my hands on. Anyhoo...I'm finally getting around to posting a mess-load of paintings that I've neglected to post, so there is quite a bit to look at, now. Everything from commissioned pieces, pieces from the "Come Super-Tuesday" series, paintings just for the hell of it, and a slight preview of what's to be seen during the "Factory Trash" show in January. I was trying to keep up with posting the Art-O-Mat pieces as they were created, but that's a lot to post, so I gave up. Maybe down the road I'll post some more...I hope you enjoy the new stuff, and I certainly hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday with close friends and family. If you are celebrating with complete strangers, that's cool too. There's nothing like uncertainty to go along with the holidays!

31 October 2007

Happy Halloween, everyone! This is the first time in a looooong time that I'm actually dressing up for halloween. It's probably the the easiest costume I've ever thrown together, but it's so fitting, especially if you know me well! Be safe, eat lots of candy for me, and come back ready for Thanksgiving! I'll be posting some new paintings (finally) here in a couple of days, so check back soon.

The artists as Andy Warhol...

15 October 2007

What can I say? I'm one busy mo-fo right now, in case anyone was wondering what I've been up to. Aside from listening to massive amounts of records, I've been painting like it was my last days on Earth. "Caffeinated," the newest show to hit The Soda Gallery, opens Saturday, Oct. 20th, and I just finished my two paintings for that show. I have two more to complete for another show at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle, and a handful of pieces to send along to Portland late November, to the Wandering Gypsy Soul Studios and Gallery, run by my good friend Brandy Kayzakian-Rowe, who coincidentally, is exhibiting some pieces in "Caffeinated."

Details for another art show at Metropolis Gallery in Lancaster, PA have been hammered out earlier this month. Look for 'Factory Trash" to open January 4, 2008. I'll tell you folks more about that show closer to the date. But getting back to the Soda Gallery...I'm loving my job there as Arts Director. It's quite the challenge to run a gallery, and be a working artist yourself. There is lots of BS you have to deal with, but ultimately, I think it's worth it. I have planned the 2008 art show schdule for the gallery, and I think I have some really cool things lined up. Since everyone and their dog celebrates the first or second weekend of every month, we decided we would take over the third weekend of every month to open a new exhibition. We'll kick off the new year with our first all-photography show (artists TBA), however I think all eyes will be on us come March, when we unveil "50/50!" It's still October, but there is already some good buzz going around for that show! So, with all thats going on, I'm doing my best not to lose my head. It's easy to get too lazy from time to time, and let things fall by the wayside, but I'm working hard at making many machines work to their full capacity.

Anyhoo, if you haven't seen the latest brilliant creation from director Wes Anderson, do yourself a favor and see 'The Darjeeling Limited." You'll be happy you did...

28 September 2007

It's been a fairly busy month, given the lack of updated info, but hey...I'm only a one-man revolution, as Tom Morello would say. What to talk about, what to talk about? First up, for those who didn't go to Austin City Limits Festival this year, you missed out on one of the best Bob Dylan performances ever! For a senior citizen, this guy still kicks ass. Check out the ACL website for a recap.

"Party" continues at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle, WA until October 5th, with Andrea Heimer and Greg Gossel.

October 20th brings "Caffeinated" to The Soda Gallery, featuring some awesome artistic talent from all over the country, like Andrea Heimer, Havi Frost, Greg Gossel, Brandy Kayzakian-Rowe, Justin Hunt, yours truly and many more! The opening party is from 7-11pm. Visit The Soda Gallery online for more details.

"Caffeinated" Invite.

And for those looking for a little more adventure with their artwork...The Soda Gallery is hosting an Open Call For Artists for their March 2008 art show, "50/50". The concept for 50/50 is to bring 50 artists from all over the country to create one piece each, and then make that work available for $50.00 to new and would-be art fans and collectors. It's a show to celebrate great art and artists, as well as encouraging fans and collectors to purchase orginal art without breaking the bank. If you would like more info on guidlines and the submission process, please click here. Space is limited, so don't hesitate!

Next to lastly, if you happen to follow my Myspace blogs, I made mention of a new series I'm about to begin, called "I'm Bill Murray." If you don't follow my blogs, now would be a good time to do so, so that I don't have to retype everything. Anyhoo...as odd as this series sounds, it might actually be interesting. And it may continue until I die, or I just run out of ideas and/or Bill Murrays to paint.

And finally, lastly, there are a few more shows coming up to produce work for, new work to post on the site, and more vacationing time to squeeze in before the mad holiday rush. Until then...

07 September 2007

If you find yourself in the Seattle, WA area the night of September 14th, stop by Suite 100 Gallery for the opening of "Party", featuring the artwork of myself, Andrea Heimer and Greg Gossel. Click on the web flyer to visit Suite 100 Gallery's website for more details. All of my work is finally finished for the show, and on its way to the gallery. I'm psyched about this one!

02 September 2007

Congrats to Nick Butler for winnning the First Annual Summer Scanvenger Hunt! He'll receive a special, one-of-a-kind painting for his efforts. I'll post an image of the piece in the near future, once it's complete. I'm already making a list for next year's scavenger hunt, and it's gonna be bitchin'! In other news updates...just scrambling to finish up the work for the Suite 100 Gallery show that opens in a couple of weeks in Seattle, WA. I'm also in the planning stages for shows coming in 2008. More info when it becomes available. But, before I can get to '08, I have to finish up with '07. The summer is over (finally) and I have some interesting things instore for the fall months. Look for "Caffeinated!", a group artist show to open Friday, October 20th at The Soda Gallery in Dallas, TX. Around 15 artists from the Dallas area and all over the US will be participating, and looks to be a killer show!

Still a few remaining months left in '07, and there is much left to do. Keep checking back as often as you can, because the fun never stops here!

20 August 2007

The "Come Super-Tuesday" series continues at Suite 100 Gallery in Seattle, WA in September. "Party", the lastest exhibit at Suite 100 Gallery, will also feature the work of Andrea Heimer and Greg Gossel. The show opens Sept. 14th, and runs until Oct. 5th. For additional info on Suite 100 Gallery, visit their site here. Other works from the "Come Super-Tuesday" series will also be on display, and in constant rotation, at The Soda Gallery in Dallas and Fine Art & Artists Gallery in Washington DC, until Nov. 2008.

The First Annual Summer Scavenger Hunt deadline is quickly approaching (Aug. 31st), so there is still time to get those items in. Final winners will be announced shortly after the close of the contest. (See the May 1st news entry for details.) The second round of Art-O-Mat 'Micro POP' pieces are almost finished, and will make their way into Art-O-Mat machines in the very near future. Save those quarters, kids!

04 August 2007

Today marks the openings of two art shows, "White Pony Cadillac" at The Arts Company in Nashville, and "Two of Us", a joint show with Andrea Heimer at The Soda Gallery here in Dallas."Two of Us" marks the first time Andrea and I get to show together, and I'm really excited. Our styles compliment each other really well. "Two of Us" will also continue next month in Seattle, WA at Suite 100 Gallery.

10 July 2007

painting is picking up again after being burnt out on so many things the last couple of months. needless to say, i'm way behind on things, but i also have so much going on, it's about time i focus on painting full time, as well as indulge myself in a few other projects that i have going on. i'm also taking the time to do a little bit of self-exploration with my art; trying to do some new things, and hopefully, will get to work larger soon.

i've got my 'white pony cadillac' show about to open in nashville the first weekend of august, as well as the soda gallery's one year anniversary bash/art show. my friend, andrea heimer, will be guest exhibiting with me for the shindig, and i'm exicted! her work is fab! i'll have a little bit of a lull with shows, but i have several comissions to do, as well as some long-awaited work i've been meaning to do for myself. you don't get to paint much for yourself when you paint for others, especially art galleries. anyhow, my life is changing overnight, and it's giving me the inspiration i need to carry on. look for some new and exciting (at least i think so) work to appear on the pages of this website soon.

26 June 2007

so, how is the scavenger hunt coming along? i've been hearing rumors that some are getting REALLY close to finding everything. speaking of which...i've decided to make an amendment to the list. i realize now that the captian america pez dispenser is a highly sought-after collectible, and is very difficult to come by, unless you are willing to pay the right price. so, instead of the captian america pez dispenser, you can substitute either one of these items:

(1) rubber ducky (in classic yellow or devil motif)
(1) comic or pulp flip book
(1) record label coaster

i'll still give you the 25 pts. for 'em. heck...if you want to include all three, i'll give you 25 pts for each.

also...new blog page here.

and...a teaser for the next show at the arts company in nashville:

10 June 2007

Added an additional page of paintings, since the main page was starting to look like a mouth full of cookies. It was about time I posted the latest work. Sorry for the delay. Life is gets busy, and in the way sometimes. May had been a pretty good month (professionally speaking). Many new shows added to the already-growing list. I still have my July showing at The Arts Company in Nashville, TN, but look forward to a much needed break after those paintings get shipped off. Some new commissions have been rolling in, lately, as well as requests for some new Art-O-Mat pieces. I just hope all this work continues to keep me really busy.

24 May 2007

Workin' myself to the bone (not litterally) but sure does feel like it. Just taking a few days off from the painting to get some focus back. I've had a lot on my mind, lately, so I needed to take a step back and exhale a bit. But since deadlines are quickly approaching, I suppose I need to get back to the canvas. I have a few more shows opening up soon, here in Big-D, Washington DC and Nashville. But somewhere in there, I see an actual vacation or two.

12 May 2007

Imagine my surprise when I found out about twenty of my Art-O-Mat artworks made it into the Art-O-Mat machine at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City! If you happen to get one of the pieces, let me know.

01 May 2007

Wow! What a busy month April was. Lots of art shows, lots of art. Anyhoo...big news. See below:

Also, look for exclusive paintings for sale through the shop. These pieces you won't find for sale in any gallery. New paintings added periodically. I also have some pics to post from these past art shows, so look for those relatively soon. Thanks to all who came out to see my work at the "4/21" show at Kettle Art, and the "Pop on Pop" opening at The Soda Gallery. I had a great time at both shows, and meeting some great people. A reminder: "Pop on Pop" will be hanging through most of the summer, with new pieces rotating in and out of the gallery. It's a new show every time! And Speaking of The Soda Gallery, see below:

13 April 2007

Those pieces will make their public debut at the "4/21" show at Kettle Art coming up. Info on the "Summer Scavenger Hunt" coming up soon, too, I promise.

09 April 2007

Time to get rid of some of that junk you've been holding onto these many, many months (or years.) Announcing:

Complete rules and details to be posted soon. In other news, I'll be participating in a group show at The Arts Company, opening July 07, 2007. I have a feeling that I'll have more of the 'Come Super-Tuesday' pieces in that show, as well as some other galleries around the US. Should be a fun time. All of this art is keeping me really busy right now. I'm getting ready for the "Pop On Pop" opening at The Soda Gallery, here in Dallas (opening April 28th!) I have a few other paintings being shipped off to DC (Fine Art & Artists) soon, as well as a swell gallery in Lancaster, PA (Metropolis-Store). Check out the info page for their respective links.

29 March 2007

Mark your calendars, folks. A new show has been scheduled for an April 28, 2007 opening. See Below. Details coming very soon.

26 March 2007

Announcing: "Come Super-Tuesday"

"Come Super-Tuesday" is a new series of paintings I've started to commentate on the presidential campaign of 2008. The Bush Administration is nearing the end of it's 2nd term in office, and campaigns are well underway to determine the next Commander-In-Chief. The American people are demanding change, not only in foreign policy, but domestic, as well.
The premise of "Come Super-Tuesday" is a parody of campaign adverts and candidates, utilizing classic-era superheroes as the foundation. The majority of Americans are angry with the current administration, and have serious doubts about our next leader, an the future of our country.
Superheroes have been looked upon for strength, leadership and moral values for over 60 years. I thought it would be interesting/poignant to have someone like Superman or Batman run for political office. The people will elect movie stars, so why not superheroes?
The planning is still in the early stages, but big preparations are being made. The plan is to continue with this series until Election Day, 2008, giving me just over a year and a half to make an impact.

Check in the 'painting' section periodically for updated images.

I've just been invited to exhibit new work at Kettle Art Gallery in Deep Elum (Downtown Dallas) on April 21. The show is titled "4 x 21: Seven Curators Choose Three Artists Each, to Knock Out Four Paintings Each." It's part of the Dallas Art Dealers Association's Artwalk, the first for Kettle Gallery. I'm just now getting details of everything myself, but if you want more info, check out their site here. I have also been invited to participate in a custom vinyl toy show in Denton, TX at Secret Headquarters (formerly Art Prostitute.) The show opens April 28 and runs until May 19th. I've never been in a show like this before, so it should be interesting. Check out Rocket Pop for more details. Thanks to Havi of Kettle Art Gallery and David Rodriguez of Rocket Pop for the invitations! I won't let you guys down.

01 March 2007

As you can tell, February was a quiet month. Not much went on. All I did was work on pieces for my show that opens next week. Things are looking good, the press release went out yesterday, and my artist statement is typed and ready to post. The odd thing is that this is the most organized I have ever been for a show, and I'm living relatively stress-free (at the moment). Speaking of the press release...

Following his triumphant exhibit in August, 2006, Carrie Garner’s Galleria d’Arte proudly welcomes back Jonathon Kimbrell, owner of Napkin Art Studios, at an art reception on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 7pm to 10pm.

Kimbrell salutes “the greatest generation” with his newest works from his “Buy War Bonds” series. Kimbrell’s works grab your attention with his use of bright, bold colors. A master of mixed media techniques, Kimbrell’s talent is showcased by his artistic interpretations of nostalgic personalities like Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, and iconic symbols like the old Phillips 66 and Gulf company logos. Through his coupling of sentimental images and cutting-edge artistic techniques, Kimbrell’s “Buy War Bonds” series is guaranteed to pique the interests of multiple generations of art lovers.

Join us for a fun-filled evening celebrating community and the arts. As always, music, wine, and finger-foods await gallery guests. Co-sponsors of the reception are: A Twist of Lime, Alternative Furnishings, BLING!, Cadillac Pizza Pub, Main Street McKinney, Market Square Antiques, Market Street, and Poppy’s Garden Café. 100 E. Louisana St. / McKinney, TX 75069.

Paintings will be delivered next week, so look for the preview to hit soon.. Promo items are stll available through the Cafe Press store for just a few more weeks, some of which are only availabe through the shop. Once the show opens, no more. See the invitation artwork below. (Hopper, Sinclair & Monroe" / Mixed Media on Wood Panel / 11" x 16" / 2007)

17 January 2007

BLOG! is the name of the game. The blog (located in the archives) is sort of designed to talk about my process of the art creation (with little or no BS), or to just yap about whatever it is I'm doing at the time. Lately, I've been doing quite a few Marilyn Monroe pieces, using the same image, at that. It's interesting to see how many variations on the same image or theme you can come up with. Read the blog to see for yourself.

As some of you may well know, I'm officially a part of the Art-O-Mat collective of artists. I think this will prove to be a great deal for my art, maybe not so much monetarily, but the exposure will be invaluable (I think). If you find my Micro POPs in Art-O-Mat machines soon, send me a picture of you with it, or just tell me where you saw the machine. I'd like to know. The powers-that-be don't really tell you where your work goes.

Well...they are finished. Here is a look at the first batch (finally!) of Art-O-Mat pieces to be shipped off.

I have no idea where they will be sent off to, because they don't tell you where they go, but if you happen upon an Art-O-Mat machine in the near future, look for my work. It will be a continuous gig, so my work may span the globe here, soon. Between pinups and rock stars, I think I have everything covered.

Happy New Year, everyone! 2007 is officially upon us now, which means it's time to take down the Christmas decorations and get back to our 'normal' routines. Napkin Art Studios is certainly no exception.

2006 proved to be a fantastic year for me and my work, and I just hope and pray that this new year will deliver more fantastic opportunities. In '06, I had more than 2500 new visitors to my website, which I hope to increase as time goes on. There is a TON of new work to post in the coming weeks, as I get closer to the opening of my latest show, "Buy War Bonds" at Carrie Garner's Galleria d'Arte, Saturday, March 10th, in McKinney, TX. Be on the lookout for further updates on that show. Also, Napkin Art Studios will be receiving greater exposure around the country thanks to the wonderful Art-O-Mat project. I'm putting the finishing touches on the last remainding pieces for the first batch, and will be ready to ship off really soon. Some new projects are also in the works and underway, as well. Just keep checking back regularly for new stuff. I also plan to make some more 'user-friendly' changes to the website (if time permits), the 'Info' page being one of them...

So...here's to 2007. I hope the new year brings prosperity and joy to everyone. I look forward to sharing my new work and ideas with all who stop and pay a little visit to my site. And for those friends and family that I don't get a chance to talk with much, you guys can always stop by the site to see what's going on in my world. Happy '07!

Oh...before I forget, if you missed out on some of the old news or photos, just visit the archives.
